The Nursing Center
Adjoining the Residential section is the 32-room, single-level John Clarke Nursing Center. Licensed by the Rhode Island Department of Health. Our 60 beds can accommodate all classes of care, including skilled nursing and short term rehabilitation. Apartment residents receive top priority for openings in the Nursing Center. Many payment plans, including Medicare, Medicaid, private pay and private insurance plans are accepted.

We provide private rooms, semi-private rooms, and our own unique “expanded double” rooms. The expanded double room has a wall between the two sides of the semi-private room. This helps to provide a private room “feel” in a semi-private room. These rooms also have additional closet and storage space as well.

Our single-level Nursing Center is resident-friendly with many lovely areas in which to sit and visit with friends and loved ones. Our attractive, secure courtyard complete with gazebo, flower gardens and walking paths provides a peaceful retreat for residents and families.

Staffing
Our skilled nursing center staffing meets or exceeds state requirements and includes 24 hour nursing coverage. Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy are available to both long term and short term rehab residents.

Other Services
The nursing center provides hairdresser services, therapeutic activities, and transportation to medical appointments. Social Work services, dietary counseling, and chaplaincy services are also available to every resident. Resident rooms are both telephone and cable-ready. Common areas are air conditioned, and resident rooms may be air conditioned as well.

Organized activities and informal recreational opportunities are open to all residents, as are the services of on-site physical therapy and counseling professionals.

Ancillary services for our residents, include eye care, dental care, and podiatry.
